Dan Dyer - High Resolution Photos
Singer-songwriter Dan Dyer speaks with the air of a mystic, one conversation with the gifted artist and one quickly perceives his easy confidence. That confidence pours out the Austin based rocker exponentially once he and his band take to the stage. Whether it is in a Texas roadhouse or in front of thousands at a festival Dan Dyer wins the audience every night with his assertion, his songs and an amazing live show.
The Northeast Texas native found early success in music with his first bands Rainshine and Breedlove, well known to Texas music fans. After Breedlove's tour of duty on 1997's Horde Tour, Dan found himself moving to New York. In New York, Dan's songs were placed in marketing campaigns for everybody from Budweiser to Dr. Pepper to Chevrolet. Recently the road has taken Dan on an opening stint for Kenny Wayne Shepard as well as 2004's Rock the Vote Tour. 2005 will see him at some of the country's biggest events including New Orleans' Voodoo Music Experience, as well as taking to the stage in Time Square as the musical headliner for the Revlon Run-Walk for Women.
Backed by former Breed Love drummer, Jason White; Austinite guitarist Aaron Barerra and completed by Vegas native and veteran bass guitar road warrior Tony Bright who toured with Lenny Kravitz through Mama Said and Are You Gonna Go My Way, Dyer's live show is a stellar production.
In the fall of 2004, Warner Reprise/Roxie Records released Dan Dyer's Debut Solo effort entitled ".Of What Lies Beneath." The album, produced by veteran rocker Lenny Kravitz and recorded primarily in Miami, moves from pulsing powerful rockers to tender acoustic sentiments. Kravitz summed up nicely, "Dan is all about being a musician, he is raw, unpolished, he's aggressive, yet very tender at the same time, soulful, sensitive."
